Weeks 5, 6, and 7 (YIKES!)

It wasn't like me, keeping up with Projcet 365 posts weekly like that, so of course, I had to slack off and miss a few weeks. But behold! I am catching up this week!

January 29, 2011 - It's so funny to see the taekwondo classes going on in this pretty little pink dance studio! The boys certainly don't like it, but at least it's only temporary!

January 30, 2011 - Today was so nice. Jack and I spent the whole day together, and even though we had to work on taekwondo stuff most of the day, we had a lovely dinner and actually got to visit. It was a very good day.

January 31, 2011 - WE OWN A TAEKWONDO SCHOOL!! A pink, ballerina-y taekwondo school. Jack closed today and I am just. so. proud of him.

February 1, 2011 - This photo really sums up how Jack felt about today - we had the most ridiculous ice storm we have had for a long time, and all of the schools and business in the area were closed. So, even though he spent the whole morning in denial, he ended up having to close his school on the first day he owned it. He was pretty bummed, but we still had a good day being lazy in our pj's.

February 2, 2011 - It was another lazy ice day for the Hornbuckles! School's still closed - bummer! But it was actually kind of nice to get a break after the craziness of buying the school!

February 3, 2011 - Today we opened the school for a combined class schedule, but as soon as we got out on the roads, we regretted it! It was crazy out there! Fortunately, we made it there and back safely, and though there weren't a lot of students in class, it was kind of nice to get out!

February 4, 2011 - We got our Hornbuckle's ATA t-shirts this week!! I'm so excited to have my name on a t-shirt!

February 5, 2011 - Jack's dad arrived in town today with a lot of the front counter he built for us - it's beautiful! We're so lucky to have such a talented and generous father-in-law on hand to help us with this school build-out!!

February 6, 2011 - This morning, we got up early to go to breakfast with Jack's dad and to pick up some lumber from Lowe's. The wood was so long that Jack had to ride in the back of the truck with it to make sure it didn't fall out. I was very nervous, and he was very COLD.

February 7, 2011 - Today Ellyn and I started making plans to go see our buddy Sara in Iowa soon. She can't be around anybody who's sick due to health problems, so it's time to start drinking Airborne! A LOT.

February 8, 2011 - Tonight, after Jack got home from work, we put a primer coat on the wood we bought the other day for our taekwondo floor. We got finished at 1:30 a.m., and I was exhausted. Jack, however, looked like this. He is so excited to be doing all of this extra work, because it means the school is really his! He is just so happy, and I'm so happy for him. And for us.

February 9, 2011 - Today was another ice day here in Dallas, so it meant no work for us! Plus, tonight was the best night I've had in a very long time - I got to talk to my friend Sara face-to-face again! A lung infection took her down hard recently, and she's just now getting her voice back after many weeks of not having one. I love this girl.

February 10, 2011 - My brother has been putting all of the Celtics tickets he doesn't use on eBay for my BikeMS ride. Today's auction made $500 for my ride! I'm lucky to have such a generous brother.

February 11, 2011 - Tonight, after work, a couple work friends went out for a drink to celebrate my friend Erin's birthday. Joel was throwing two darts at one time at two different dart boards, and he actually got a bulls-eye with one of them. It was very impressive!

February 12, 2011 - Today was beautiful! Jack and I took Maggie to The Village and enjoyed a burger at MooYa outside with Maggie. What a great day together.

February 13, 2011 - Brittany came into town today, and we always have such fun together! We had to go to the karate school to film Jack's form, and Brittany got to know the kicker mannequins pretty well.

February 14, 2011 - Today was SO COOL! After work, my friend Jeri and I headed to Borders in Dallas, where Ree Drummund, "The Pioneer Woman," was doing a book-signing. We ended up waiting in line for 5 hours to meet her, but it was totally worth it. She is so nice!!

February 15, 2011 - While Brittany was here, she discovered a moth larve in my pantry, and today, I found more. SO GROSS! I'm going to have to clean out the whole pantry now.

February 16, 2011 - The school is looking so good! They actually got almost everything done, including painting the walls. It's fabulous.

February 17, 2011 - Well, at least I don't have any expired food in my pantry any more. Or moths. But my kitchen is a mess. I spent most of the day cleaning out the pantry and completely scouring it to get rid of the moths. So gross.

February 18, 2011 - I finally finished the diaper cake I've been working on the last few weeks, and I think it turned out really cute! Hopefully Misty will like it tomorrow!

February 19, 2011 - Today was Misty's baby shower, and I made her a little "Hornbuckle's ATA Martial Arts" onesie for baby Kaitlin. It turned out so cute, and I think she really liked it! I put a little kicker guy on the butt of the onesie too. It was a hit.
