Today was a little more eventful than we wanted it to be.
As soon as I sat down on the couch after I got home from work, my cell phone rang. It was Jack. At 7:30 p.m.
"What's wrong?" I answered the phone. Jack doesn't get off work until about 10 p.m., and if he's calling before then it's because there's something wrong or he needs something. I heard Jack laugh nervously on the other end of the line.
"Well, I'm okay," he started, and then slowly explained to me what had just happened. Evidently, Jack was doing a kama form when he accidentally hit one of them on the other, causing it to ricochet back and hit him in the face, cutting his lip pretty deeply.
When he called, he was headed to the Urgent Care facility near the taekwondo school, so I took the dog back to my parents back to my parents' house and headed out there. When I got there, they were just finishing up super-gluing the cut back together, and the only thing he was annoyed about was that they put too much glue on and he couldn't move his face like he wanted to.
Also, he was a little embarrassed about having just hit himself in the face with a weapon.
