April 4

Today was Easter! Yay, Jesus. After church, we went over to my parents' house for a little while, then we came back later for dinner. It was a pretty nice day!

I LOVE this weather, and the fact that it's still light out when I leave work! Perfect for riding!

March 21

This morning Jack and I got up and went to have breakfast downstairs in the hotel as a part of the "romance package" that Jack got at the hotel. It was so nice to have a hot breakfast that I didn't have to cook!

March 20

Today, Jack came home from work and told me to pack a bag. It's our anniversary weekend, and he surprised me with a night at a fancy new hotel in town. It was so nice to get away from our dirty house, go out for a fancy dinner at Fogo de Chao, and enjoy the evening together away from home. It even started snowing tonight, and so I stayed up late watching the snow from our seventh-story suite after Jack fell asleep. That husband of mine is pretty romantic.

March 11

Today was my birthday! I'm 24 years old now. I was blessed with many, many gifts (I got 3 cookbooks!) and got to spend time with friends at work all day and my parents took me out to dinner at Macaroni Grill tonight. It was a great day!

Before Joel and Eric left for Israel, they told us we had to find 5 fun things to do while they were gone. Today was "Wii at lunch" day. It was really fun.

Three years ago today, Jack gave me this ring and asked me to be his wife. And I'm still really glad I said "yes."

February 28

Today was one of those simple, perfect days. Jack and I got some coffee (I guess the lady misheard my name!) and then shopped for a little while together. Later, we cooked dinner together and then just spent the evening watching TV and relaxing.

Today at work we had teeny-tiny Cub Scout visitors. We gave them a tour and showed them how the studio and the green screen works, and they had a blast making a video.

February 21

I finally bought my road bike today!! I'm naming her Lucy (after Lucille Ball). Because she's red. I've been saving for it for a long time, and I also used the gift card I won in the blog contest last year to help defray the cost. I'm so excited to finally have it, and I'm hoping that it will make BikeMS easier this year!

Tonight we went out to dinner at Bob's with some of the people Jack works with. It was kind of fun getting dressed up and going out for a fancy dinner.

February 13

Tonight we had the opportunity to go to the All-Star slam dunk contest at the American Airlines center. We sat in Danny Ainge's $400 seats. Awesome.

February 9

When Jack got home tonight, we were all excited because LOST is on on Tuesdays. We excitedly turned on the TV, clicked over to our DVR list, and were very, very disappointed to find out that it didn't record after all. This is my sad face because we didn't get to watch LOST tonight.

January 29

Tonight was date night! Jack and I went out to dinner at Grimaldi's, our favorite local pizza place. We had a really great time catching up after having not seen each other for pretty much two weeks, since I was on the cruise last week and Jack worked about 60 hours this week.

After dinner, we headed over to Market Street to get Maggie some dog food and use a coupon for free milk. Sounds romantic, yes? I ended up pushing Jack around in the cart like a race car up and down the aisles and we laughed until we cried. Life is good when we're together.

January 11

Today I went back to the salon and got another coat 'o color put on my hair. Now it's a dark reddish brown now. I like it much better.
