Tomorrow is BikeMS, so I had to get my bike and jersey ready for the ride. This is the first year I've gotten to wear a yellow number, which is reserved for one of the top 100 fundraisers from the year before.

I've been loving cooking The Pioneer Woman's recipes lately, and this one was one of my favorites. It smelled SO GOOD while it was cooking, and I'll definitely be making it again.

Tonight was the Awana awards ceremony and the end of our Awana year. It was good to see the girls get their awards after all their hard work this year.

April 26

Today I stayed home from work and Jack and I went to the doctor since we were both sick. After that, we went to Jason's Deli to pick up soup and Wendy's to pick up a Frosty. On the way home, I tried to take my antibiotic pill with the little bit of my melted Frosty, overturned it, and dumped the whole thing between my seat and the console. Instead of getting mad, Jack made fun of me and helped me clean it up. It's good to be married to him.

Having a super-sore throat this weekend has made Frosties and soup pretty much the only thing I can eat this weekend.

This morning, I was supposed to go to Angela's baby shower. Instead, I woke up with a fever, body aches, and a sore throat. It was definitely not as fun as the baby shower would have been. This is the soup Jack made me today.

Today I had to deliver the diaper cake and flowers that I designed to the hosts of Angela's baby shower, and I think it all came together very well. I'm so excited for the baby shower tomorrow!

Today I finished my friend Angela's diaper cake for her baby shower on Saturday. I think it turned out really cute!

Today was crazy hair night at Awana. And there was definitely some crazy hair here.

Tonight I had dinner with my parents, Brittany, and the Dutys. After dinner, we of course went to Braums. Because it's our place. And it's what we do.

Last night, the Wildmans' apartment flooded, so they have been staying with us this weekend. Today, we spent the day playing games and just hanging out, and it's been one of the most relaxing weekends we've had in a long time. It's been really fun!

Today Jack competed at the Forney tournament. He won first in weapons and forms and third in sparring. At the last tournament, Earl got sick into his doo-rag during sparring (eww), so he got a new one for this tournament. I think he kind of likes it.

April 16

My parents are out of town this week, so I'm taking care of Tia. Today I brought her over to our house for a while. She was even a little playful! At least, as playful as Tia gets (which isn't that playful.)

Tom's birthday was a few weeks ago, so we decorated his desk at work. Unfortunately, he didn't come in until today, but he was definitely a good sport about all the fun stuff we decorated with!

Tonight was Awana, and Aubree had everybody sign her cast - she had just broken her arm this week. She was pretty excited about getting people to sign it though.

Today I got up and got dressed for work, not feeling very well, got about halfway there, and decided I really, really wasn't up to going to work today. So I called in sick, headed home, and got into my pajamas for the rest of the day.

April 12

Today, my husband turned 31 years old. I called him after work and told him that I was grilling burgers and that he was welcome to bring some friends over to celebrate his birthday after work. I figured he’d bring one or two people from his staff, but he doesn’t get home from work until after 10 pm so I figured he wouldn’t invite many people. I got a call a little while later. “Um, 10 people are coming over. Is that okay?” Uh... that wasn’t really what I was expecting, but it’s not like I was going to tell him “no” on his birthday. “Sure!” I replied, “Whoever you want, sweetheart.” And so I headed to the grocery store and got more meat. And more buns. And more beer. And at 10:30 pm on a weeknight, everyone arrived and the party began. And Jack had a blast. Which made it all worth it.

Today after church, we went to Babe's with the Wildmans. It was so yummy!

Tonight, Jack had a Parent's Night Out, so I brought him coffee before Saxby's closed. I planned on hanging out with him until he could leave, but the kids were so crazy that I couldn't stand being there longer than 5 minutes. So I left.

April 9

We have this weird wig at work. I'm not really sure where it came from, but it gets passed around and usually ends up in whosever office who has last had a birthday. Today, Todd from web came down and visited and found the wig and put it on. He seemed to enjoy it.

Today I gave Maggie a big bone and she was so excited. Then Jack tried to take it away from her. She didn't like that.

I planted hibiscuses a while ago, and they're finally blooming! They look beautiful.

Today was Easter! Yay, Jesus. After church, we went over to my parents' house for a little while, then we came back later for dinner. It was a pretty nice day!

Today was so beautiful! Jack had the entire day off because of Easter weekend, so we spent the day shopping together and enjoying the beautiful weather. For lunch, we ate out on the patio of a Potbelly Sandwich shop, which we both love.

Jack wanted Cici's Pizza tonight, and being the [really, really, really, really] good wife I am, I said we could go. That place is pretty disgusting, but every so often Jack just really craves it, so I deal with the heartburn and self-loathing for him.

OUR NEW FREEBIRDS IS FINALLY OPEN!! Freebirds is our very favorite burrito place from our college town, so we were ridiculously excited about its grand opening here. I had heartburn all night, but it was totally worth it.
